Weekend Weather: Temperatures to Stay in the 90s Saturday, Sunday

Birmingham will remain pretty toasty Saturday and Sunday, with a chance of thunderstorms on Sunday.

The end of week in Birmingham was hot, and the weekend won't be providing much of a break.

According to the National Weather Service, Saturday will be mostly sunny with a high near 92 degrees. Winds will be in the west between nine and 17 miles per hour, with wind gusts up to 28 miles per hour. Going into Saturday night, the skies will be partly cloudy with a low around 66 degrees.

On Sunday, there's a 30 percent change of showers and thunderstorms, though temperatures will be near 89 degrees and the skies will be mostly sunny the rest of the day. Sunday night, the low will reach 68 degrees.

Looking ahead to Monday, the morning commute will be under mostly sunny skies, with temperatures reaching 90 degrees.
