Weekend Weather: Sunny Skies on Deck for Birmingham's Day on the Town

The highs will be in the low- to mid-80's all weekend long, according to the National Weather Service.

The weekend looks to be a sunny one, perfect for Day on the Town, a picnic in the park or a walk around town.

According to the National Weather Service, Saturday will be most mostly sunny, with a high of 83 degrees.

That makes a perfect day for Birmingham's , a city-wide sidewalk sale in the heart of downtown. The sale officially opens at 9 a.m., with a Kids Bike Parade and decorating contest beginning at 8:30 at South Old Woodward and Merrill.

On Saturday night, the skies will be clear with a low of 62 degrees. Winds will blow between five and nine miles per hour, becoming calm after midnight.

On Sunday, it will be another mostly sunny day with a high of 84 degrees. Lows dip down to 68 degrees overnight.

Looking ahead to the Monday morning commute, there's a 30 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms all day. The high will be 82 degrees.
