Weekend Weather: Snow Expected Saturday Morning, Sun on Sunday

The highs will be near 35 degrees both days this weekend.

Don't put away your winter gear just yet.

According to the National Weather Service, the snow is expected to continue into the weekend, or at least until Saturday. On Saturday, there's a 30 percent of snow showers all day, mainly before 9 a.m. The rest of the day will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 34 degrees. There will be a west-northwest wind all day between 14-17 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 23 miles per hour.

On Saturday night, skies will be mostly cloudy with a low around 20 degrees. That will get Birmingham ready for a partly sunny Sunday, with a high near 35 degrees. The winds calm down for Sunday night, when lows of 30 degrees are predicted. The chance of precipitation Sunday night is 20 percent.
