Weekend Weather: Snow Expected Saturday

Saturday is expected to be snowy in the morning while Sunday will be sunny and clear.

The winter may have been mild so far, but snow may be on this way this weekend.

With snow predicted for Friday night, that snow is expected to continue falling into Saturday. According to the National Weather Service, there's a 50 percent chance of snow all day Saturday, mainly before 1 p.m. The day is then expected to remain cloudy, gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 36 degrees.

Saturday night, temperatures are expected to drop to 22 degrees though skies will be mostly clear.

Sunday, meanwhile, will be mostly sunny with a high near 34 degrees. Sunday night, temperatures will drip down to 20 degrees.

Looking ahead to Presidents Day on Monday, skies will by sunny with a high near 35 degrees — perfect for the beginning of Birmingham students' midwinter break.
