Weekend Weather Report: Sunny Weather Ahead for Bike Festival

No storms are in the forecast this weekend as Birmingham hosts a slew of outdoor events, including the first annual bike festival and Family Fun Day in Barnum Park.

Though the and may have been washed out by a late afternoon storm last weekend, it looks like Birmingham is going to luck out weather-wise for this weekend's lineup of events.

Saturday, the National Weather Service is calling for clear and sunny weather all day, with a high temperature ner 79 degrees. At night, temperatures will dip to 58 degrees though skies will remain clear.

This will leave perfect weather for the at Saturday, held by the Central Birmingham Residents Association from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.

On Sunday, the weather remains mostly sunny with a high near 79 degrees. There's no forecast of rain either, leaving things dry and perfect for the first annual , which begins at 8 a.m. Sunday. The day features a half-mile cycling race throughout downtown for professionals and amateurs, as well as various safety demonstrations and area vendors.

Looking ahead to Monday, there's a chance of rain during the day with a high near 75 degrees.
