Weekend Weather: Rain, Thunderstorms Expected Saturday

Temperatures Saturday and Sunday will be in the low 70's, according to the National Weather Service.

Looking forward to enjoying the cool weekend ahead? You may need an umbrella on Saturday.

According to the National Weather Service, there's a 90 percent chance of rain or thunderstorms before 3 p.m. Saturday, with new rainfall amounts expected to be between a tenth and a quarter of an inch. Higher rainfalls may occur during thunderstorms.

The temperatures, though, will be cool. The high Saturday is expected to be 69 degrees, with northwest winds between 14-17 miles per hour.

The chance of showers continues into Saturday night, mainly before 8 p.m. The rest of the night will be mostly cloudy with a low around 53 degrees. The chance of rain is 30 percent.

On Sunday, the skies are expected to clear up, with partly sunny skies in the forecast. The high will be 72 degrees. Sunday night, lows dip down to a chilly 50 degrees.
