Weekend Weather: Could It Snow on Saturday?

May is around the corner, but the National Weather Service says Birmingham could see the white stuff on Saturday morning.

Snow ... at the end of April?

That's the forecast for Birmingham Saturday, according to the National Weather Service, so if you're going out: grab a jacket.

According to the weather service, the high Saturday is expected to be 45 degrees with a 50 percent chance of rain and snow before noon. The precipitation is then expected to turn over to rain for the rest of the day.

Saturday night, there's a 30 percent chance of rain before 11 p.m. as temperatures dip all the way down to a low of 32 degrees. The skies will be partly cloudy all night.

Sunday, the sun makes a comeback. The high is expected to hit 55 degrees Sunday with sunny skies. Those clear skies are expected to continue into the evening, with lows Sunday evening dipping down to 35 degrees.

Looking ahead to Monday, the work week will start off with a 35 percent chance of showers with a high near 55 degrees.
