Weekend Planner: Eton Academy Spring Bazaar, Book Signing and More

• Why Go: Have you ever wondered What is Good for General Motors? Then check out a book signing Saturday morning by Thomas Crumm, author of the book by the same name. The event is free to attend.

• When: 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday and Friday
• Where:
• Why Go: Want to snag some great deals for a great cause? The Eton Academy will have a wide selection of merchandise available at their spring bazaar, happening this weekend at the Birmingham-based school for special learners. All proceeds will benefit the Eton Academy.

• When: 4 p.m. Sunday
• Where:
• Why Go: Come enjoy a slow flor yoga class at Casa Prayne, the yoga studio at Powerhouse Gym. All levels are welcome to this class featuring soothing music, soft lighting and a little heat. Bring your mat if you have one, or one will be provided. Children 12 and up are welcome, though encouraged to come with an adult.

• Why Go: The MoreDances Contemporary Dance Company presents a performance of "Spring Dances," led by artistic director Janet Clayton-Reid. The dance company will also be joined by Allure Dance and the Wayne State University Dance Company. Performances incude "Moonlit Soiree" by Thayer Jonutz and "We Go Round and Round" by Clayton-Reid. • Why Go: Is your child getting ready to apply for college? Have they already been accepted but you're still wondering what to expect this fall? The Student Connection will be hosting a special college panel Sunday, with topics ranging from acing the application, to picking your first semester of classes, to figuring out what to do the summer before classes start. On the panel of experts will be educators as well as college counselors. The panel is free and open to the public, no registration required.
