Sun Is Back But National Weather Service Predicts More Storms

The forecasting agency says storms could bring high winds, hail and even tornadoes.

A hazardous weather outlook covering southeast Michigan in in effect through 8 p.m. Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

Thunderstorms that could produce hail and winds up to 70 miles per hour will move through the area, the forecasting agency warned.

"There is also the potential for isolated tornadoes," the NWS said. "Heavy rainfall and localized flash flooding is also possible."

By midday, the region already had been doused by a heavy downpour with some thunderclaps.

Residents are advised to keep an eye on the sky and stay tuned for updates should more severe weather develop.
