Need To Know: Going to Vine & Dine

Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce hopes to make annual fundraiser hard to miss.

The is approaching and with a new location and a partnership with Gleaners Community Food Bank, the is looking to make the annual charity event a "not-to-be-missed summer affair."

The Vine & Dine event, taking place Wednesday at the , involves live art, a strolling buffet, live music, an auction and a wide selection of domestic and imported wines. With tickets at $65 each, all proceeds are donated to Gleaners, with last year's event providing thousands of meals for the hungry in Oakland County communities.

"Vine & Dine is a fun night filled with great food, wine and art," said Andrea Foglietta, marketing and event manager for the chamber. "An ideal night out to spend time with family and friends or entertain clients while supporting those in need."

DeWayne Wells, president of Gleaners, said the organization is thankful for the help Vine & Dine has provided over the years.

"Gleaners is grateful for the continued partnership with the Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber," Wells said. "Every dollar this event raises provides three meals for a hungry neighbor. At a time of increasing need, especially in our suburban communities, this support is vital to help us achieve our mission."

This is the first year the event has been moved to the art center, Chamber president Joe Bauman said, and they hope the event provides a night out for those looking to stay close to home this summer.

"What could be better than a terrific summer party that also benefits an outstanding local charity?"
