Lavish Gala to Honor Local Businessman This Weekend

The Community House will throw their first annual black-tie gala on Saturday evening.

  • Why Go: Do you have your tickets? The Community House will be throwing their first annual gala Saturday night honoring area businessman David Trott. Trott is also the vice chairman on The Community House's board of directors. The black tie event begins at 5:30 p.m. with a VIP reception for gala sponsors, followed by a performance of the Detroit Symphony Youth Orchestra at 6 p.m. Dinner and dancing will follow, as well as a speech from keynote speaker Allan Gilmore, president of Wayne State University and former CFO and vice chairman of Ford Motor Company. Proceeds from the event will benefit outreach program of The Community House.
