Viewfinder: Inaugural Birmingham Bike Festival a Big Success

Sunday event fills downtown with races and events for cycling enthusiasts of all ages.

Hundreds of cyclists rode into town Sunday for the inaugural presented by the and organized by Birmingham-based developer Jeff Surnow. Beginning at 8 a.m., the day was broken into races for men, women and children of all skill levels, while area vendors — including Auto Europe, Trek, American Cycle and Fitness and Pedego Electric Bikes — set up in . More than $10,000 was given out during the day in prizes.
