Get Ready for Wedding Season With 3 How-To Classes at The Community House

The Community House will host a three-part series on hosting your own wedding as well as how to break into the wedding industry.

As the weather warms up, Michigan brides are pulling out their wedding planners and dreaming of spring and summer nuptials.

Luckily for Birmingham brides-to-be, The Community House has a series of workshops and classes perfect for those planning a perfect wedding.

All classse will be taught by Ebony Anderson, who has a Masters in Business Managmenet as well as a bachelor's degree in Communications from Bowling Green State Univesity.

Each class is priced individually though the entire, three-part series costs $89. If you take all three classes, the materials fee for all three is just $25.

Corsages and Bridal Bouquets

  • When: 6-8 p.m. April 17
  • Cost: $32 ($15 materials fee)
  • Why Go: Learn how to make female and male corsages as well as bridal bouquets using flowers. 

Centerpieces, Floral Arrangements, Cake Design

  • When: 6-8 p.m. April 24
  • Cost: $32 ($10 materials fee)
  • Why Go: Learn how to make reception table centerpieces, column floral arrangements and floral cake designs.

Start Your Own Wedding Biz

  • When: 6-8 p.m. May 1
  • Cost: $32 ($5 materials fee)
  • Why Go: Get tips and literature on how to enter the local wedding industry. Turn your passion into a career and start your own business.
