Fuel Report: In Birmingham, Gas Prices Climb to $3.29 to Start New Year

Wednesday meant back to work for many in Birmingham — putting drivers back on the road looking to fill up their tanks.

According to the AAA, the average price for a gallon of gas in Metro Detroit is $3.30 this morning, up from $3.26 a week ago.

The lowest gas prices in Metro Detroit this morning can be found in Milford and Highland, where gas is $3.08 a gallon at the Kroger at Highland Avenue and Milford Road, and $3.09 a gallon at the Citgo station at Milford Road and Watkins Boulevard.

In Birmingham, the lowest price you'll find is $3.29 at the Speedway and Citgo stations on Woodward.
