Fuel Report: Gas Prices Spike Monday Morning

It's Monday morning and gas prices in Birmingham, and across Metro Detroit, are going up — and fast.
According to the AAA, the average price for a gallon of gas in Metro Detroit is $3.70 this morning, up from $3.43 a week ago.
Some of the lowest gas prices in and around southeastern Michigan can be found in Macomb, at $3.27 a gallon, and Clarkston, at $3.35 a gallon. In and around Birmingham Monday morning, the cheapest price is $3.65, found at the Speedway and Citgo on Woodward Ave.

However be careful where you fill up: prices are also spiking as high as $3.86 per gallon in the Birmingham area.
