Fuel Report: Gas Prices Fall Below $4

The work week has started again, and for many, it's time to fill up on the way into work. Luckily, just as temperatures have gone down from last week's heat wave, gas prices are also on their way down.

According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular gas in Metro Detroit is $3.86 Monday morning, down from $4.10 a week ago. This is up from $2.73 at this time last year.

In and around Metro Detroit Monday morning, the cheapest gas can be found in Southgate, at $3.65 a gallon, followed by Monroe, at $3.68 a gallon. In and around Birmingham, the cheapest gas price is $3.85 in Troy.
