Fuel Report: Gas Prices Approaching $4 a Gallon Monday

Finding you the best gas prices in and around Birmingham.

Gas prices continue to climb and in some places, they're brushing up against $4 a gallon.

According to the AAA, the average price for a gallon of gas in Metro Detroit is $3.90 this morning, up from $3.70 a week ago.

Some of the lowest gas prices in and around southeastern Michigan can be found in New Haven, at $3.59 a gallon, and in Monroe, at $3.68 a gallon. In and around Birmingham Monday morning, the cheapest price is $3.84, found at the Citgo on Woodward Ave.

However be careful where you fill up: prices are also spiking as high as $3.99 per gallon in the Birmingham area.
