What's your most popular product or service?

Oh my gosh! Too many too mention. But the one that stands out that everyone enjoys are the bridal celebrations with Mimiosas and Fingerfoods that make the salon festive with the bubbling chatter of a bride and her girls. Not only do they enjoy the beauty prep but our guests love to see it come together.

What's a fact about your business that most customers probably don't know?

We cater to our "VIP" Bardha Salon patrons. Although we offer periodic specials, we give perks to our patrons. We reward and appreciate our loyal patrons.

Although we have always provided services for bridal and special events this has taken a new direction. We have a special team of specialists that advise the bride and her entourage before the special day. We advise, teach and help our guests reach their ultimate goal of healthy hair and skin. Our in-salon or on-location services are available for any event.

When was the business founded?

I started in business as a freelance artist at Bardha Salon when I was a young woman at the age of 18. The Bardha family owned business consisting of 4 talented hairdressers gave me the opportunity to start a cosmetic beauty counter in the most celebrated salon in Birmingham back in the 70's.

How did your business come to be?

Started in the 70's with a lucky break. My cosmetics "On Stage" were featured. As I spoke Spanish I was sent by the manufacturer to train a newly established boutique in Buenos Aires, Argentina. My career took off providing makeup and skin care services for fashion magazines. designers, celebrities, models, and the creme de la creme in Buenos Aires at "Dans un Jardin."

Why did you choose the area you did?

I love Birmingham. Having worked at Jacobson's promoting Adrien Arpel facials and makeovers the clientele is the best you could ask for. I also live in the area so it's convenient to take care of all of my business and social needs. Birmingham has everything!
