Beverly Hills Park Makes List of Favorite Detroit Sledding Hills

What are your favorite sledding hills in the Birmingham area?

Sledders in the Birmingham area don't need to go far to find a winter thrill, after CBS Detroit recently named the hill at Beverly Hills Village Park as one of its favorite sledding hills in Metro Detroit.

The park, located on Beverly Road with parking only a short walk from the hill, also hosts a Winter Famil Fun Day on the fourth Sunday in January, the article reads. Just be careful where you slide: if you go down the steep side of the hill, you're likely to run into the forest located only 30 feet away from the bottom of the hill.

Other hills that made the local round-up include the Civic Center Park in Madison Heights, Shiawassee Park in Farmington and the Rolling Hills Park in Yspilanti.

However, Beverly Park isn't the only place for sledders in the Birmingham area. Other popular sledding spots for Birmingham residents include Booth Park (just mind the fence!) and the surprisingly steep hill behind the Birmingham Historical Museum and Park.
