Here's what's going on in Birmingham this week.

  3. Art lecture at The Community House: Wayne State art instructor Wendy Evans will lecture on the impressionists in '' Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at . Featured artists will include Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and Georges Seurat.
  4. Comedy show at Baldwin: presents Joel's One-derful World Comedy Show at 2 p.m. Thursday. Michigan's family funny man will present his wacky, wild new show featuring dazzling juggling, creative new tricks and audience favorites. All ages are welcome.
  5. Trash collection to be delayed one day this week: Because of the Fourth of July holiday, trash and curbside recycling collection will be delayed one day this week. Check with the city for specific pickup times for your neighborhood.
