Father's Day is this weekend, so here's five ways you can help dad feel special.

Mother's Day is all about flowers and fancy brunches, so we've found five manly ways to celebrate dad in and around Birmingham.

Work out at Birmingham's newest gym

It may not be open yet, but you can still sign dad and yourself up for a personal training session at at 1025 Webster Ave. The center, which caters to professional athletes at its West Bloomfield location and has a boxing facility, offers you your first personal training session for free. Family Day at Birmingham's golf courses

Every Sunday is Family Day at Birmingham's two golf courses, the Lincoln Hills Golf Course and Springdale Golf Course. Family Day lasts from 4-7 p.m. and kids ages 8-17 play free with an adult. To book your tee times, visit www.golfbirmingham.org and note that you'll be participating in Family Day.

Eat steak during Fleming's Father's Day brunch

Show dad how much you care by giving him the gift of steak. is offering a special Father's Day brunch beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday. The menu is $34.95 for adults and $16.95 for kids and includes prime rib, filet mignon and a blood orange mimosa. Plus, dads at the brunch will receive a $25 dining card for a future trip.

Rock out at the Palladium

Nothing says manly like watching some classic hair bands, right? Rock of Ages is playing at the this weekend but you can avoid the crowds and make it a day with dad on Sunday, when the Palladium is offering a for all ages Sunday: for $29 per adult and $15 for kids 15 and under, movie-goers can catch brunch at 1:30 p.m. and a movie at 3 p.m. Movie choices include: Rock of Ages, That's My Boy and Madagascar 3.

Have a tequila tasting at Barrio

Have you been to Birmingham's newest Mexican eatery, ? If not, take dad for a nice dinner featuring gourmet tacos and more than six dozen kinds of tequila and mezcal. That's right, we said six dozen. Shots range in price from $10 to $77 for top shelf varieties such as Don Julio Real, Herradura Suprema and Partida Elegante.
