5 Crews That Will Hang Your Holiday Lights For You

Quality Landscape

• Experience: 15 years
• Average pricing: $300-$600
• Details: "We use pine tree trimmings, fake holly and pine cones to cover up extension cords coming from inside," Quality Landscaping owner Ron Momany said. Momany decorates inside and outside for residential and commerical customers.

English Gardens

• Experience: 18 years
• Average pricing: For a residential job there is a $1,000 minimum, which will bring a crew equipped with a two-person lift that goes up to 45-feet in the air.
• Details: Family and locally owned since 1954, English Gardens decorates major installations including the Village of Rochester Hills, Partridge Creek and downtown Royal Oak. "I'd say we do about 75 percent of our business with commerical clients," General Manager John Collins said. English Gardens has also won gold Environmental Improvement Awards from the Michigan Green Industry Association for their decorations.

The Lightscapers

• Experience: 5 years
• Average pricing: $450-$650 to provide lights, set up and remove for a typical house with two larger trees, shrubs, and a second-story "roof line" along the gutter.
• Details: Owner Nate Vonrossum, or "Jolly Saint Nate," runs a one-man-crew operation. Vonrossum deals mostly with residential clients but will also decorate indoors and outdoors for small businesses as well.

Accurate Irrigation, Lighting and Solar Systems

• Experience: 20 years
• Average pricing: $200-$300 to provide and remove lights, not including a second story roof line along the peaks and gutters.
• Details: Owner Gary Gehle said his crew currently does about three houses a day during the peak holiday decorating season. "I've got three guys up on the roof hanging the big bulbs as we speak," Gehle said.

Paula Belanger & Carol Lanni Holiday Decorating

• Experience: 8 years
• Average pricing: Varies. A current client pays $200 for providing, setting up and removing a Christmas tree, for instance.
• Details: "We won't do roofs but my partner and I do indoor and outdoor decorating and base estimates on how long it will take us to finish," co-owner Paula Belanger said.
