Uh-oh, that light has clicked on in your car. Whether you need an oil change, alignment, new brakes or a complete tune-up, we all have our favorite car repair shops. What's yours?

Today the topic is car repair shops.

Visit Birmingham Patch Places to find all of Birmingham's car repair shops. Vote for your favorite shop by 9 a.m. Friday; we'll post a story that day declaring the winner.

Our family trusts Freeman at Cranbrook Car Care implicitly. He is always available for our "emergencies" and is such a knowledgeable gentleman! We think he is the best!

We love Quality Collision on Cole St. Last time my car was fixed, I drove a very fast mustang as a loaner.

Here's another vote for Freeman at Cranbrook Car Care on Maple. He is fair, honest, friendly and always gives me a ride home after I drop off the car.

Yesterday on my street, I saw a tree, on city property, with 'stuff' piled high around the base ofRead More the tree. I tried to tell the two gentlemen there it would eventually kill the tree. 'Not so!' they replied, according to, I believe, their landscaper. They then proceeded to try and placate this nosy gray haired woman. Maybe someone from the city could clue them in??
