Viewfinder: Green Living Fair Marks Third Year in Birmingham

The annual Green Breeze Green Living Fair, sponsored by the Community House, featured dozens of booths for shoppers looking to "go green."

It’s the season for green living fairs — and this weekend, it was Birmingham’s turn as the third annual took over the downtown area.

Vendors from near and far took part in the event, educating the public on their environmentally friendly businesses.

Companies such as Whole Foods passed out healthful food samples, Ms. Green Construction gave tips on green home improvements, and Marmalade Hills showed off its natural soaps for nurturing skin.

“I think this year is an improvement with much more vendors and better weather,” said Sandi Millman, a West Bloomfield resident and second-year attendee. “It’s fun, and it’s nice to be able to walk around and bring our pet.”

The Green Living Fair, held in conjunction with Birmingham's annual , was set up on Old Woodward at Merrill Street.

“This is a great event for us because of the people that come out, families and people that are into green living and healthy lifestyles, and that kind of aligns with people being interested in our business,” said Stevan Dobrasevic, president of Dobrasevic Food Co., a door-to-door organic foods delivery service.
