Hunter House Hamburgers in Birmingham is celebrating the Woodward Dream Cruise all week long.

"Basically, Dream Cruise is our Christmas," Hunter House manager Brandon Rump said. "It's our busiest time of the year."

Hunter House has been around a little longer than the Dream Cruise's 17 years. It was established in Birmingham in 1952 at the same location on Woodward north of Maple Road, accoring to its website.

Rump said Hunter House has ordered a ton of onions – literally – and 12,000 hamburger patties for Dream Cruise week.

Last year, the restaurant served 35,000-40,000 people during Dream Cruise week, Hunter House owner Susan Cobb said.
