New Way Bar

The owners of the live music venue at 23130 Woodward Avenue are saying goodbye after 78 years with the community. "New Way Bar will continue to operate under new ownership," according to a post on the establishment's Facebook page.

Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt

The international chain recently opened its first Michigan shop in the Northfield Marketplace. Orange Leaf offers 16 rotating, gluten-free flavors, including some sugar- and peanut-free options.

Birmingham

Rugby Grille

After six weeks of renovations and some serious menu planning, the Townsend Hotel restaurant has reopened for business. The Rugby Grille's interior is now decked out in Ralph Lauren treatments, leather dining chairs and art by famed painter Joan Miro. The new menu includes dishes such as Citrus Cured Arctic Char, Wagyu Carpaccio, Duck Breast and Scottish Salmon. Many of the ingredients will be sourced from Michigan farms. Diners also now will able to scroll through the Rugby Grille's wine list on an iPad.

Berkley

Nom Nom's Cupcake Factory

The sweets shop will offer free samples while supplies last during its grand opening event Saturday, March 30. Nom Nom's will be located at 2670 Coolidge Hwy., the former home of Party Cakes.

Highland

Down the Street Deli

The eatery with an eclectic choice of sandwich options is expected to open in mid-April at the former Zaydee's Coffee House location at 2330 S. Milford Road. The menu will include sandwiches combining items such as raspberries and ham or turkey and strawberries, as well as drinks, soups, salads and snack items.

Clawson

Grumpy's

The '50s style diner, which opened in 2007, will close Saturday, March 30. Owner Doug Doney declined to comment on why he is closing Grumpy's. The restaurant, located at 230 S. Main Street in Clawson, offers burgers, fries, shakes, deli sandwiches and more in a vintage atmosphere.
