Birmingham's Hunter House Hamburgers is a star in the latest Chevy commercial, with the iconic Woodward Avenue diner making a cameo in the newest commercial for the 2013 Chevy Cruze.
During the commercial, a couple makes a tour of several Metro Detroit eateries in their new Chevy Cruze, including Birmingham's Hunter House where they grab a plate of sliders and fries.
Also featured in the 30-second spot is the Toasted Oak Grill & Market in Novi, the Motor City Brewing Works in Detroit and Ray's Ice Cream in Royal Oak.
Providing the soundtrack for the commercial, meanwhile, is Ann Arbor's The Kickstand Band playing "So Long Suzie."
This isn't the first time Birmingham has been front and center in a car commercial. In August 2011, Chrysler filmed a commercial for its 2012 300C SRT8 on Pierce Street in downtown Birmingham, with Streetside Seafood, Elie's Mediterranean Grill and Toast in the background.
In addition, Birmingham's familiar water tower along Woodward was featured in another Chrysler "Imported from Detroit" commercial, which debuted during Thanksgiving 2011.
