Readers' Choice: South Bar Voted Best Place to Watch Sports in Birmingham

With 45 percent of the votes in this week's poll, the downtown club is favorite spot to gather and watch a game.

Michigan State may have lost its Sweet Sixteen match last night, but Birmingham still has plenty of sports fans and plenty of places to watch the big games coming up. And according to Birmingham Patch readers, their favorite place to catch a game is South Bar.

Patch readers had a variety of bars and restaurants to choose from in — from to last week's St. Patrick's Day winner, .

However, with 45 percent of the votes, South Bar was voted Birmingham's favorite spot to watch sports. Open since 2010, South Bar has established itself as a place for fine dining and entertainment. And with several dozen TVs, it's also a home base for many Birmingham sports fans.

With the advent of the warmer weather, South Bar fans can now hang out at the restaurant's rooftop deck and patio lounge.
