What does your business offer?
Social media marketing services, social media management, social media consulting, social media public speaking/coaching/training.
We specialize in simplifying social media marketing to help clients move their businesses forward.
What's your most popular product or service?
1) Our social media marketing services are our primary focus.
2) However, we also offer a program called, “Saving Face for Parents and Schools,” which is an online video program helping parents and educators coach tweens to become smart digital citizens. We have taught this program to middle school students and we write curriculum for educators.
3) Finally, a third service is TweetTeam™.com, which is an innovative concept that gives businesses the ability to leverage online influencers to enhance their marketing campaigns. Our TweetTeam™ has completed projects for Detroit’s NBC affiliate, WDIV Local 4.
What's a fact about your business that most customers probably don't know?
The Hay There Social Media team is made up of all women who work virtually and the majority of the team members are "WAHMs" or work-at-home-moms.

How did your business come to be?
My background is in sales and marketing. I worked in a large corporate sales environment before moving into a small business environment with a primary focus on sales. We sold corporate sponsorship sales for major events in the Detroit area such as the North American International Auto Show, America’s Thanksgiving Parade and the Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix.
I founded Hay There Social Media, a Metro Detroit-based start-up, after identifying the need for small business owners to authentically connect with their customers through the emerging platform of social media.
Why did you choose the area you did?
I learned firsthand how a social media presence backed by a clear strategy can be an effective means to market, network and build a brand. Hay There Social Media creates social media campaigns, builds targeted online communities and uses online reviews to help its clients grow. Our company’s social media managers work with a wide variety of businesses in B2C industries like medical practices, retailers and senior living communities.
I've committed to creating a team of people who share my passion for social media and the flexibility it brings. Hay There’s Social Media team comes from a variety of backgrounds including public relations, journalism, marketing, customer service and education. They are able to authentically connect businesses with their targeted online communities in an intensely personal way.
