Grey Wolfe Publishing Looks to Help Michigan Authors

Grey Wolfe Publishing, LLC Associate Publisher Diana Kathryn Plopa want to give writers a chance to publish their work.

She helped start the business and recently submitted information about the Law Office of Matthew A. Ferri, PLLC through the Patch Small Business Spotlight.

Here are her answers.

What does your business offer? 

Grey Wolfe Publishing offers services for writers to build their craft and realize their publishing dreams. Included are several fee-free services such as a weekly writing support group, a monthly critique group, monthly writing contests which also offer a prize, four opportunities to become published in our literary journal per year, and an opportunity to become published in our annual anthology.

Other services include both adult and student mentoring, writing workshops, and a full-service publishing package which includes mentoring support.

What's your most popular product or service? 

We have a highly popular publishing package, that is structured at such an affordable price point, that some authors are publishing multiple projects with us.

Our weekly writing support sessions, "Writing with the Pack" are also very popular, as it gives writers dedicated time to not only devote to their projects, but also give and gain helpful feedback toward the success of the writing community

What's a fact about your business that most customers probably don't know?

Our company is made up of seven highly talented individuals (we look froward to more growth as time goes on). Each of our team members, from our publisher to our proofreader, are all writers. Either we are published authors, or currently working toward publication. None of us is simply a company employee. We only hire writers, because it is only another writer who can truly understand and relate to the writing life.

March, 2013

How did your business come to be? 

We had a vision to make publishing an attainable goal for the writers of Michigan. We knew that in order to make this a reality, we needed to focus on building relationships, mentoring and affordability. On that model, Grey Wolfe Publishing was formed.

Why did you choose the area you did?

We are a family owned business, and our family and staff live in the local area. Also, we have seen the large diversity of writers in Oakland County, and we knew this was where we wanted to build our foundations in business. We are focused on serving not only the writers of Michigan, and beyond; but also the Oakland County community.
