Monday has just been gloomy all around: on top of the rain that fell on the morning commuters, gas prices jumped eight cents in Metro Detroit.
According to the AAA, the average price for a gallon of gas in Metro Detroit is $3.50 this morning, up from $3.42 a week ago.
Some of the lowest gas prices in the area at a 7-Eleven in Canton ($3.25 a gallon) and a Sunoco station in Fraser ($3.26 a gallon). Gas is also $3.27 a gallon at the Mobil station at Opdyke and South Boulevard in Bloomfield Hills.
In and around Birmingham Monday morning, the cheapest price is $3.54, found at the BP station at West Maple Road and Cranbrook.
