World's Longest Lemonade Stand

A group of students, parents and teachers from are attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the world's longest lemonade stand Aug. 20 at Beverly Park.

The group is selling stands from its website longestlemonadestand.com for $50 each. The stands are sold as pre-cut kits that can be put togheter with a screwdriver and decorated however one likes.

On the day of the event, participants will gather at Beverly Park and each lemonade stand will be connected by extensions to form what organizers hope is the longest lemonade stand in the world. The record for the world’s longest lemonade stand is 2,571 feet, 6 inches, set June 6, 2010 in Satow, Germany.

The event will also include food, drink and games. A portion of the proceeds from the events will go toward .
