What's a fact about your business that most customers probably don't know?

while a "powwow" is term coined to describe a social gathering of Native Americans, its evolved in today's nomenclature to refer to a meeting for people to discuss something. We've evolved the term one step beyond and explain that a digital powwow describes a gathering of talent; a collaboration toward a creative endeavor.

When was the business founded?

July, 2013

How did your business come to be?

I've been working as a product and project manager for technology companies for the last decade. In this capacity, I've helped produce video games, animated movies, commercials and short films. My professional background includes experience in interactive entertainment, film, advertising and education technology.

When I moved to Birmingham from New York, I began consulting and offering my services to startups and other companies developing new products. I teamed up with some really talented Detroit-based creative teams and together formed Digital Powwow to offer customized product development strategies and creative services.

I also have business development experience, and am a natural connector between people.

Why did you choose the area you did?

My professional background includes experience in interactive entertainment, film, advertising and education technology. I worked in the video games industry for several years and helped launch the award-winning massively multiplayer online game Global Agenda, and the globally renowned 2012 Game of The Year Tribes: Ascend. I also produced educational games and oversaw production strategies of interactive educational products for BrainPOP in New York. I love new product development and creating a plan for a product's life cycle. I also love clever marketing, digital publishing and distribution, project management, production.
