Best Thing We Ate This Week: Trying Out the New Bakery

We visited the newly-opened Frank Street Bakery this week and feasted on their delicious pecan pie.

When I heard there a new bakery in town, I knew I had to make our way down to Frank Street — and to the new , which opened in the former Cinderella's Attic location last Thursday, on Dec. 1 — as soon as possible.

And I'm glad I did. For my inaugural trip, I went with our sweet tooth and bought a slice of their delicious pecan pie for only $3.17. Now, there is nothing better (in my book) than pecan pie, but this slice was phenomenal — from the light crust to the buttery, smooth filling.

Of course, I stopped by during lunch time so I couldn't avoid the smells of sandwiches being freshly made. According to co-owner Grace Dersa, the bakery's signature sandwich is her husband Matt's hot-pressed Cuban. Also for sale this week (that I could see) was an assortment of cupcakes, ice cream, smoothies, coffee and tea as well as full-service salad bar.

Something definitely tells me I'll be coming back to the Frank Street Bakery breakfast, and lunch and dessert ...
