Best Thing We Ate This Week: Townhouse Burger

Townhouse's signature burger is pricey but definitely worth it.

I've been to before, but I hadn't yet tried Birmingham's new bistro's house specialty: the Townhouse Burger.

, Townhouse owner Jeremy Sasson stresses that his special burger is like nothing else in Birmingham. Ground daily from aged prime ribeye, dry-aged prime brisket and other choice steak cuts, the burger — served with white cheddar, glazed onions and fries — is $14.

While that seems pricey, we think Sasson is right to pride himself on this burger because it's truly delicious. Juicy and flavorful, the burger doesn't weigh you down too much though it definitely fills you up. Plus, it's refreshing to see a burger actually cooked "medium rare," and not be disappointedly dry.
