There's Still Time to Support Breast Cancer Awareness in Birmingham

As National Breast Cancer Awareness Month draws to a close, you can donate to the cause at these local businesses.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month ends today, along with several charity drives for breast cancer research at Birmingham area businesses:

Kroger Pink Ribbons

Customers at the Birmingham Kroger may purchase a pink ribbon for $1 or make a coin box donation to benefit breast cancer awareness and research. All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society and the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute

Pink Pumpkins

The Pink Pumpkin Patch Foundation, a non-profit organization that funds breast cancer research, is working with major retailers this month to raise money for breast cancer research through the sale of special pink-skinned pumpkins. Participating retailers include the Birmingham Kroger.

Panera Pink Ribbon Bagels

Sold at Panera in Birmingham in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the signature pink ribbon bagel has raised more than $1.25 million for breast cancer charities nationwide. At participating Panera bakery-cafes throughout Metro Detroit, funds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
