UPDATED: Seaholm High School Closed Due To Water Problem

The high school, annex and Lincoln Street Alternative School are all closed due to a sprinkler issue discovered early Wednesday morning.

Updated 4:35 p.m.: Evening classes are back in session tonight at Seaholm High School, and all classes will be back in session Thursday, district spokeswoman Marcia Wilkinson said.


Officials with the Birmingham Public Schools cancelled classes at Seaholm High School Wednesday morning due to a water problem.

The district made the decision shortly before 6 a.m. after discovering the damage, which was due to sprinkler problem. The Lincoln Street Alternative School and Seaholm Annex are also closed.
