- Why Go: The Community House's Classical Brunch series returns this weekend with a performance by young violinist Benjamin Beilman perfoming duos with Robert deMaine, principal cellist with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and artistic director for the Classical Brunch series.
Beilman, an Ann Arbor native, is a recipient of both a 2012 Avery Fisher Career Grant and a 2012 London Music Masters Award. Beilman and deMaine will perform duos by Ravel, Kodaly and Handel-Halvorsen.
The morning, presented in collaboration with WRCJ-FM 90.9, includes brunch. The six-part series continues next on Feb. 17.
