If you were thinking of checking out the winter exhibits at the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center (BBAC), today is your last day.
Friday is the last day for the four exhibits currently on display at the art center, including:
- The work of Jack Johnson (Robinson Gallery)
- The work of Larry Zdeb (Kantgias/DeSalle Gallery)
- The work of Jill Rowan (DeForrest-Watson Ramp Gallery)
- BBAC Independent Painters (LaBan Commons Gallery)
The exhibits are open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. today and are free and open to the public.
Next up: be sure to check out what BBAC students are working on in the next exhibit opening March 8, Current Student Works. Students are eligible to submit their art pieces if they've been enrolled in at least one class since Winter 2012. The entry fee is $10 per student.
"I am eagerly anticipating the 2012 exhibit of BBAC Current Works showcasing the art produced by our adult students," write BBAC executive director Annie VanGelderen in the BBAC's spring newsletter. "Day to day, we see everyone who inhabit the classroom studios, and it is gratifying to see the accomplished artwork that results from all their time and effort."
Spring classes at the BBAC are also open to registration. For more information, visit www.bbartcenter.org.
