Why Go: Drop into the Birmingham Historical Museum to meet Gretchen Maricak, the artist behind the museum's latest exhibit, "The Architectural Art of Gretchen Maricak." A longtime Birmingham resident, Maricak is also a professor in the College of Architecture & Design at Lawrence Technological University. are several of her renderings of Birmingham's Eco-City neighborhoods and Arts and Crafts-style homes.
