Outdoor Movie Nights Kick Off Friday With 'Kung Fu Panda 2'
The first of three family movie nights begins tonight at Booth Park.
Bring the family, bring a blanket and get ready to watch a movie under the stars this summer.
With the first week of summer nearly over, Friday marks the first of three in , held again this summer as a way to bring families together.
The annual event is sponsored by the and the Birmingham Bloomfield Community Coalition. Festival-style snacks — including popcorn, cotton candy and ice cream — will be available, while movie-goers are also encouraged to bring their own.

This year, the movies will be opened with performances from various community groups and local bands. Festivities kick off at 7:30 p.m. while the movie begins at dusk.
