Need to Know: Where to Watch the Last Harry Potter Movie

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 premieres moments after midnight Friday, and we know everyone is talking about it. Looking to brave the crowds and see the midnight premiere? We've got your list of local theaters to take in the Potter mania.

The Palladium 12 will have several theaters showing Deathly Hallows: Part 2 at 12:01 a.m. Friday, including one 3-D showing at 12:01 a.m. Tickets cost $10; limited edition Harry Potter 3-D glasses are available for midnight showings only.

Moviegoers cannot use free passes to see Deathly Hallows: Part 2, and luxury seating costs an additional $2 per ticket. But if you order your 3-D tickets online early, the Palladium will waive the 3-D upcharge.

Want to see the first part of the last Harry Potter film? Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 will be shown at 9 p.m. Thursday.

But maybe you're not into the late-night crowds, and a showing later Friday, Saturday or Sunday is more your pace. Here are the dates and times:

• Rochester has showings at 12:01 a.m., 12:03 a.m., 12:04 a.m., 12:10 a.m. and 12:40 a.m. Friday. 3-D showings at 12:01 a.m. and 12:05 a.m. Friday.
• Royal Oak has showings at 12:01 a.m., 12:02 a.m. and 12:05 a.m. Friday. 3-D showings at 12:01 a.m., 12:03 a.m. and 12:15 a.m. Friday.

AMC Star Southfield

• There will be one regular and one 3-D showing at 12:01 a.m. Friday.

AMC Star Great Lakes 25

• There will be three regular showings just after midnight Friday, at 12:01 a.m., 12:10 a.m. and 12:20 a.m. Friday. There will be two 3-D showings, at 12:01 a.m. and 12:15 a.m. Friday. The film will be showing in IMAX theaters at 12:01 a.m. and 3 a.m. Friday.
