Lots of Roles Available for Project DayDream’s ‘Annie The Musical’

Auditions will be held June 30 for actors ages 6-24 for the popular family musical.

Project DayDream is seeking actors ages 6-24 for Dream Players Productions’ third summer musical, “Annie,” one of the best family musicals of all time. Auditions will be held June 30 at Congregational Church in Birmingham.

“We know how important it is for children and young adults to receive exposure to the arts. That is why we are producing three very different musicals this summer – ‘Rent,’ ‘Seussical JR.’ and now ‘Annie,’ ”  said Tiffany Victoria Sims, Project DayDream’s owner and artistic director. “ ‘Annie’ is the perfect show to bring families together and remind us all that the sun will come out tomorrow.”

Based on the classic comic strip "Little Orphan Annie," this heartwarming musical is the story of a spunky Depression-era orphan determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan.
