Heading to the Uptown Film Festival? We Want to See Your Pictures!

Will you be heading out to the movies in downtown Birmingham this weekend? Send us a picture of yourself and your friends!

The hits Birmingham theaters this weekend, and we know thousands of people from Birmingham and Metro Detroit will be stopping by to see some of the best Michigan-made films and documentaries.

If you'll be going to the festival this weekend, Birmingham Patch is inviting you to submit your pictures of you and your friends enjoying all the festival has to offer. Whether you're heading to the VIP Charity Gala on Friday or will simply be checking out a film or two, snap a photo and then send it to Patch.

Submitting photos is easy. You can:

  • Directly upload your photo to this article. Don't know how? No problem. Just skim . After you've uploaded your photo, make sure to write a caption with the names of anyone in the picture, where they live and where the photo was taken.
  • Email your photo to Laura.Houser@patch.com. Again, include a short note in the email about who's in the photo, and where it was taken.
  • Text your photo to 248-534-9780 (Editor Laura Houser's phone). I mean, who carries a camera around with them nowadays? However, almost everyone has a camera phone.

Don't forget: The Uptown Film Festival begins tonight with the Michigan Filmmakers Reception at 7 p.m. and ends at 9:30 p.m. Saturday with the third annual Michigan Film Awards.
