"Two Together"

The Birmingham Concert Band will partner with the Saline New Horizons Band to present a special concert, “Two Together,” on Sunday, March 13 at Groves High School in Birmingham. The program begins at 4:15 PM.

The Birmingham Concert Band is well known throughout southeast Michigan, performing hundreds of concerts to appreciative audiences over 30+ years. The Saline New Horizons Band provides performance opportunities for musicians from varied backgrounds and wide ranges of experience. Its membership has grown since its founding in 2004 and now supports a full concert band and many smaller ensembles.

The March 13 concert will feature each band in separate performances, and culminate with combined forces. The New Horizons Band program includes music by Ralph Vaughn Williams and Gershwin. The Birmingham Concert Band selections will be highlighted by a concert band arrangement of the final movement of Tchaikovsky’s Symphony #4. The bands will join together in rousing final selections including music from Edward Elgar’s Enigma Variations.
