Past programming featured popular children’s authors and illustrators, nationally recognized storytellers and informational talks at museums and libraries in the greater Detroit area.

This year’s calendar includes spooky Celtic tales by a local storyteller, a trip to Book Beat, an independent bookstore in Oak Park, a workshop about using puppets to tell stories and our fundraiser luncheon featuring the director of the MAZZA Museum. The StoryTellers Guild calendar can be found at www.tchserves.org

The mission of the StoryTellers Guild is to enrich the lives of children through the art and love of storytelling.  There are many opportunities for members to be involved in support of our mission. Members attend programs and share encouragement, work on fund raising projects and serve in Council positions. Currently more than twenty trained members read and tell stories in Pontiac, Oak Park, Southfield, Hazel Park and Warren Woods. The StoryTellers Guild donates hundreds of books to the schools in these districts. The Guild is always looking for new members who share the love of connecting children and literature.
