Public Art Knitting Project - Informational Meeting

The Birmingham Public Arts Board is seeking volunteers to participate in a public art knitting project.  This project will involve knitting large-scale objects for placement on or near existing public art installations.  This project is intended to involve the Birmingham community in an interactive public art project and to raise awareness for public art programs in Birmingham, including the CityScapes partnership between the City and the Cultural Council of Birmingham-Bloomfield..

An informational meeting and review of possible locations is planned for March 27, 2012 at 6PM at City Hall (151 Martin).  Interested individuals or groups should contact Toya Glenn or Christian Wuerth at 248.530.1810 to RSVP or for additional details.

Additional details about the public art program are available at www.bhamgov.org/art or www.facebook.com/BirminghamPublicArt.
