Concert for Haiti, Live @ First

Singer, songwriter, and FUMC favorite Scott Wilkinson and an all star band of metropolitan Detroit’s finest musicians join with Haitian trumpeter Carlot Dorve in a multimedia concert experience.

“Proceeds from this concert will support ongoing relief work in the schools, clinics and senior citizens’ care facilities run by the Haitian Methodist Church in Jeremie, Haiti.  First United Methodist Church of Birmingham is part of a growing network of Methodist Churches in southeast Michigan, and elsewhere in the United States, that are pooling their efforts to accelerate improvements in the health and general welfare in and around Jeremie. Despite incredibly difficult conditions, the Haitian people are warm, thankful. . . and musical, which the concert will illustrate. They are also skilled, willing. . .but poor, and this concert will provide the means to procure materials, tools and local employment to make lasting improvements in their quality of life. Come, be moved, and be part of making a difference!”

Entrance is free though tickets are required. Tickets are available at all Jeremie Project Michigan Churches, including FUMC.
