Birmingham in the Civil War Exhibit

The Birmingham Historical Museum's new exhibit "Birmingham in the Civil War - Here and There: Exploring the People and Issues at Home and at War" opens March 16th.  

The exhibit tells the story of some of the Birmingham soldiers, what was going on domestically in Birmingham at the time, how Michigan played a role, and what was happening nationally at that time.  The exhibit tells Birmingham's role but also showcases the larger picture. There will be some interesting local artifacts included in the exhibit.

The exhibit is expected to run through the summer.
