Birmingham Gallery Presents "Organic Roots" a Fundraiser for the Pink Fund

The Birmingham Gallery is pleased to present “Organic Roots” a special exhibition in honor of the Pink Fund. We will be exhibiting the photographic works of Laurie Tennent, jewelry artists Dina LaMontagne and Michelle Saulson, and fiber works of Carly Belisle. For the month of October the Birmingham Gallery will be donating 10% of all framing sales to the Pink Fund.

An opening reception is planned for Friday October 12, 2012 from 7-10pm.  An additional 10% will be donated to the Pink Fund for all sales the evening of the opening.

During breast cancer treatment, many patients experience the loss of income that can result in catastrophic financial losses, including the loss of health insurance, home foreclosure, eviction, automobile repossession and bankruptcy.

The Pink Fund provides short-term non-medical financial assistance to breast cancer patients in active treatment.  The program assists patients, who due to a breast cancer diagnosis are unable to work, by providing them critical financial assistance.  Individuals may qualify to receive up to 90 days of financial assistance to cover non-medical expenses such as insurance, transportation, housing and utilities.

By providing this financial bridge, The Pink Fund helps to meet basic needs and decrease stress levels. These factors help breast cancer patients strengthen their fight to improve survivorship outcomes and quality of life.
